On November 12 and 13, 2019, the Fraport Forum at Frankfurt Airport and the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) held the 18th INNOVATION Forum of the Platform for Innovation in Germany (PFI-D). New articles published in connection with Data Mining and Value Creation
Prof. Dr. Heiko Gebauer, Project Manager Data Mining and Value Creation, is co-author of three new articles on digitization and value creation from data in the trade magazines Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Business Horizons.
Alexander Arzt, research fellow in the Data Mining and Value Creation project, will participate in the Spring Servitization Conference in Linköping, Sweden, from 13 to 15 May 2019. The theme of the conference is “Delivering Services Growth in the Digital Era”.
The Hannover Messe was the destination of Dr. Sebastian Haugk and Alexander Arzt on April 2, 2019. The two research fellows in the Data Mining and Value Creation project at Fraunhofer IMW were particularly interested in topics related to the Internet of Things (IoT).

In the Data Mining and Value Creation project, we are working with the City of Leipzig to further develop its approach to Open Data. Since it is often unclear what can be done with data at all, a workshop was held with the city's employees on March 14, 2019 at the Fraunhofer IMW premises. Sonja Ries, research fellow in the Data Mining and Value Creation project, answers some questions about the workshop.
